Job role: Senior Trainer (Brickwork Apprenticeship)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience plus up to 10% bonus
Working Location: Lichfield
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
The role attracts a Company Car subject to the mileage threshold being met.Due to the nature of this role, a DBS check will be required and administered by NHBC.
What you’ll be doing
* Ensuring training is delivered in a time and cost-effective way.
* Co-ordination and delivery of customer apprenticeship training and/or assessment to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets.
* Liaising and consulting with customers, outside agencies and professional bodies to ensure apprenticeships, qualifications and training programmes meet their qualitative requirements and ensure quality assurance procedures are effectively maintained.
* Maintaining NHBC’s accreditations, including Ofsted, ESFA, and other awarding organisations, as appropriate.
* Supporting the collation and reporting of appropriate KPIs and feedback mechanisms.
* Ensuring apprentices progress and achievements are proactively maintained to ensure compliance with Ofsted & ESFA requirements as directed by compliance processes.
* Consulting with customers in the identification of learning needs and adapting learning to accommodate within our SEND policy.
What we’re looking for
* Proven track record of providing excellent apprenticeship delivery to successful outcomes
* Suitable experience in the construction industry, particularly in the new-build housing sector at relevant trade level
* It would be advantageous to have timber frame and groundworker experience
* Examples of where your intervention has provided a sound basis for continual improvement of trade practice
* A clear understanding of and ability to interpret and engage audiences with the implementation of the NHBC standards.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to negotiate/communicate effectively at all levels.
* Ability to influence & coach others, again at all levels.
* Ability to meet deadlines and coach others including apprentices to meet expectations
Education and Qualifications
* Full driving licence.
* Minimum L2 Bricklaying qualification
* Qualified teacher (or working towards)
* English & maths qualification to the apprenticeship standard minimum, or above
* Working towards membership of appropriate professional institution. *NHBC will support, where able, progression to professional status and encourage participation in trade related organisations.
