Veterinary Surgeon Vacancy
Our client in Birmingham is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to work alongside our current team of surgeons who hold various certificates in surgery, medicine, cardiology, and ophthalmology.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in routine surgery and consultations. We are open to accommodating your skills and interests if you have a preference in a particular area. Responsibilities will include routine consultations and handling complex cases such as foreign body removal. Surgical procedures will range from routine neutering to advanced orthopaedics, BOAS, TPLO, and abdominal scanning.

Full-time Vets work a 4-day week (40 hours) with shifts typically starting at 8:30 am and finishing at 7:30 pm. Weekends are 1 in 6, and time off in lieu (TOIL) is provided the following week. There are no out-of-hours or on-call duties.
Equipped up to CT level, this practice is superbly set up for complex caseloads. The team is a tight-knit, experienced group, boasting a diverse range of certificate holders in surgery, medicine, imaging, ophthalmology, and exotics, including an exotics diploma holder.
With their extensive team of Vets, there is always someone available to offer second opinions, valuable case advice, and support for less experienced colleagues.
