We are seeking a Centre Manager to join our small friendly team based at Biblins Youth Campsite in Hereford. You'll join us on a part-time, permanent basis, and, in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £30,521 - £36,528 per annum, pro rata. Biblins Youth Campsite is part of the Woodcraft Folk centre network, dedicated to providing young people with enriching outdoor experiences. About the role As our Centre Manager, you will manage Biblins Youth Campsite, part of the Woodcraft Folk centre network, ensuring all customers have a safe and positive experience whilst improving and developing the educational offer provided by the centre. You will be willing to work flexibly as working hours vary throughout the year to meet demand on site. You will also need transport to access the site, which is not easily accessible by public transport. During off-peak season, the postholder can adopt a hybrid working pattern. As our Centre Manager, your responsibilities will include: Growing site activity: building and maintaining relationships with local schools, voluntary organisations and tourism bodies to attract visitors Collaborate with the Activity Co-ordinator to enhance educational programs and guest experiences Working with volunteers and the wider staff team to market and celebrate the impact of youth work activities on site Managing and developing the small staff and volunteer team Manage budgets effectively and contribute to business planning for site growth Manage risk assessments, maintenance records and safety inspections Oversee compliance with the Adventurous Activities Licensing Scheme and LOTC Quality Badge requirements What we are looking for in our Centre Manager: Experience working with young people or youth organisations Experience in leading, managing and developing teams and individuals Safeguarding and child protection issues within a residential setting Health & safety, particularly safe working practices, outdoor education, facilities management, fire & water safety Experience in developing and implementing local operational plans Premises oversight and management Good interpersonal skills and communication skills, both orally and in writing Adaptable and flexible approach to work and working hours, meeting the needs of guests Working to agreed deadlines and budgets Delivering high levels of customer satisfaction Instructing and supervising contractors Commitment to Woodcraft Folk values, aims and principles Open to team and collaborative ways of working Able to use your initiative to respond to issues on site and manage demands Closing date: Monday 24th March 9am Interviews will take place on: Thursday 3rd April If you feel you have what it takes to become our Centre Manager then click ‘Apply’ today and come and be part of our solution
