New Bridge Learning Centre

Part of the New Bridge Multi Academy Trust, New Bridge Learning Centre caters for students with a wide range of SEND, from moderate learning difficulties to profound and multiple learning difficulties, including severe and complex learning difficulties. The school also caters for students with physical disabilities, multisensory impairments, visual impairments, hearing impairments and specific conditions including autism spectrum condition. All students have an EHC plan.
We are currently seeking a number of resilient, energetic and highly motivated midday supervisors to join our busy team based at the New Bridge Learning Centre site on St Martins Road, Fitton Hill. The main duties will be to provide support for students during the lunchtime period which includes feeding and drinking, personal care; supervision and behaviour management and general housekeeping.
It is essential that applicants have previous experience of care work or supporting disabled people in undertaking everyday tasks including personal care. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate that they are a proactive team member and have genuine empathy with young people who have a range of learning and physical needs. They must also have the physical resilience to be able to support those students with mobility issues.
This post is being offered on a part time basis. Hours of work are 12. 15 pm 1.45 pm, Monday to Friday, Term Time only.

This post will be subject to a number of pre-employment checks including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and proof of right to work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.
