Location: Gloucester Road, Bristol
Salary range: Up to £26,000 per annum (pro rata)
Join Us at the Start of Something Exciting!
WorkRoom is a brand-new, consciously designed and ethically focused space in the heart of Gloucester Road, Bristol - a vibrant venue combining a stylish hot-desking hub and dynamic events space, an independent café from much-loved local brand, FED, and a high street showroom by Little Green Rooms.
We’re building more than just a venue; we’re creating a welcoming, intentional place for individuals and businesses to connect, host events, and work away from the office in a calm, inspiring environment - think beautiful lighting, cosy sounds, bespoke furniture and living walls that breathe life into the space.
We’re looking for a friendly, confident and proactive WorkRoom Host and Events Coordinator to help bring our space and ambitious growth plan to life!
About the role
As the first face people see when they walk through our doors, you'll play a key role in creating a warm, welcoming and well-run environment for hot-deskers, event attendees and showroom visitors alike.
You'll report directly to the Premises and Events Manager and will be a vital part of our people-first team that’s launching and growing this exciting new venture.
1. Welcoming and assisting all visitors to the space – from hot-deskers and café customers to event guests and clients.
2. Ensuring the space is always tidy, professional and set up correctly for daily use or events.
3. Supporting with meeting room and desk bookings using our CRM and POS systems.
4. Assisting with the coordination and smooth running of events and meeting space bookings.
5. Liaising with the on-site café and showroom teams to maintain a seamless visitor experience.
6. Gathering feedback from users and passing insights to the Premises and Events Manager.
7. Championing WorkRoom’s community ethos and helping foster a creative, collaborative atmosphere.
About you
1. Comprehensive experience in a customer-facing role (hospitality, retail or events preferred).
2. Strong communication skills and a confident presence, with a positive, can-do attitude.
3. A natural host with an eye for detail and great customer experience.
4. Organised, efficient and calm under pressure.
5. Comfortable juggling tasks and working independently when needed.
6. Flexible availability, including occasional evenings and weekends.
7. Reliability to ensure the venue opens smoothly and tasks are completed as needed.
Nice to haves
1. Familiarity with CRM, POS or room booking systems.
2. Event support or coordination experience.
3. Local knowledge of the Bristol area and enthusiasm for building community connections.
We understand that candidates have varying experiences, and it is unlikely that all aspects of the role description will be an exact match. Please don’t be deterred if that is the case – we’d love to hear from you if you are passionate about our company and have relevant experience.
Benefits
1. 20 days holiday and flexible bank holiday options.
2. Pension matched up to 3%.
3. Enhanced family leave and parental support.
4. Social, charity events and volunteering leave.
5. Cycle to work scheme.
