The Governors at St John with St Mark CE Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced, passionate, and nurturing SENCO to join our team of caring, committed professionals. We would welcome visits prior to application as we are incredibly proud of our school culture and what we have achieved so far - but know there are still exciting developments ahead.
Main Duties:
1. To determine the strategic development of the special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school.
2. Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability.
3. Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents/carers and other agencies.
4. To line manage the SEND team including our team of TAs and other agencies.
