The transactional finance manager is responsible for the overall administration relating to transactional finance. Core duties include active participation in resolving both AR and AP tasks, assisting in month end and quarter end close, calls with late paying clients and problematic suppliers, along with maintenance of support tools such as expense management and reporting. People management and a willingness to converse with valued clients and suppliers is a core tenet of the role, along with a mature and nuanced understanding of transactional finance. · Lead delivery of payroll service for clients – overall responsibility for departments invoicing, ensuring team members meet target · Accounts Receivable– Assisting with high value, late paying clients · Drive complex payroll query resolutions – internal follow ups and external communications · Lead investigative work on supplier tax, social security, and VAT treatments · Review and authorize vendor payments · Coach and mentor junior team members · Participate in finance transformation projects · Maintain general ledger and perform journal entries FX updates as and when needed · Revenue and expense reporting for monthly management pack · Assisting in client onboarding and delivery meetings · Performance management and appraisals of analyst team Requirements and qualifications · 3 years of experience as a Transactional Finance Manager · Understanding of GAAP and revenue accounting concepts · Proven track record of process improvement · Proven track record of departmental improvement (DSO/DPO) · Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (vlookups, pivot tables, basic formulas) · Persistent, assertive yet professional approach to supplier and client queries · Critical thinker and problem-solving skills · Team player · Excellent time-management skills · Great interpersonal and communication skills
