Job summary Paediatric Assessment Unit (PAU) Part Time, We are seeking Registered Children's nurses to complement our teams on our Paediatric Assessment Unit. PAU is situated alongside Paediatric ED in purpose built facilities and is an assessment/day care area for children. Willow is open 24hrs a day; PAU is open 0900-00:00hrs 7 days a week Main duties of the job We are seeking Band 5 Registered Children's Nurses to join our team to work in PAU with at least one year post registered experience. However if you are about to qualify, or are newly qualified, we would still like to hear from you. The successful applicant will need to have: A commitment to caring for sick children and supporting the senior nursing team in advancing paediatric practice First level registration with the NMC as a Children's Nurse An interest in acute paediatric nursing, and care of the child in the assessment/HDU environment. Commitment to continuing your own personal professional development In addition we have a rotation programme which potentially includes the opportunity to rotate to our neonatal unit and paediatric accident and emergency.
