Job Title: Pump Engineer / Drainage EngineerLocation: London & Surrounding AreasSalary: £33,800 £44,200 (depending on experience)Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 18:00Job Type: Full-time, PermanentCall-Out: To be finalisedAbout Us:United Drains is a well-established plumbing and drainage company, specialising in commercial services across London and surrounding areas. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Pump Engineer with a strong understanding of 3-phase electrics to join our team.Role Overview:The role involves servicing, repairing, and installing a wide range of pumped drainage systems. Youll be working with wastewater systems, pump chambers, control panels, and more, supporting commercial clients and working closely with our in-house service team.Key Responsibilities:Service and repair wastewater pumping systems, packaged pump sets, macerators, and associated equipmentInstall new pump chambers and systemsWork with grey water and effluent systems, often in confined spacesCarry out fault diagnosis and provide detailed reports with photos using PDA/mobile deviceWork confidently on 3-phase systems and control panelsEnsure compliance with electrical regulations and site safetyCommunicate clearly with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth service deliveryEssential Requirements:Minimum 5 years experience working with wastewater pumps and control panelsCompetent with 3-phase electrical systems17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (required)Strong mechanical and electrical skillsHigh attention to detail and pride in workmanshipExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer serviceFlexible and able to participate in on-call rota when introducedFull UK driving licenceDBS check requiredDesirable (but not essential):Drainage experienceExperience with sewage treatment plantsHigh-pressure water jettingBasic plumbing knowledgeAbility to drive 7.5 tonne tankerWhat We Offer:Competitive salary (£33,800 £44,200)Overtime and bonus opportunities20 days holiday plus bank holidaysFully equipped company vehicleCompany uniformOngoing training and developmentExcellent long-term career prospectsIf you're a qualified and experienced Pump Engineer looking to grow your career in a supportive and professional team, wed love to hear from you.Apply now with your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.TPBN1_UKTJ
