The opportunities…
We are looking to appoint Principal Ecologists as we grow in delivering a vast range of multi-disciplinary projects, working closely with and providing value to a number of our long-term, highly respected clients. These integral positions are perfect for experienced Ecologists who are ready to advance their career and take on roles with an impactful level of responsibility.
About you…
1. You’ll be familiar with best practice standards and legislative drivers that apply to UK habitats and species.
2. You’ll have significant experience in assessments for habitats and protected species as well as report writing and Quality Assurance.
3. It would be advantageous to hold protected species survey and/or mitigation licences.
4. You’ll have an undergraduate degree and preferably a post-graduate qualification in a relevant subject.
5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work without supervision is needed.
6. You’ll have a desire to develop early career staff, mentoring them in improving their skill base.
7. Line management and overseeing project management will be areas of responsibility for you.
As an Ecologist, we will empower you to develop your skills further and take on more responsibility to undertake surveys and reports. This role involves leading key client meetings including design team meetings, providing best practice guidance and advice to customers, and handling complex communications. Therefore, we’re looking for someone who will bring an inherent customer focus along with applied commerciality to provide the most appropriate and greatest value solutions to our clients.
