The Amesbury Community Team are looking for an inspirational Physiotherapist to deliver a high standard of quality care to patients within the community setting. Wiltshire Health and Care is proactive in developing community specific training and can offer a supportive and friendly environment in which to learn new skills.
You will be responsible for providing highly skilled therapy care to the residents within our geographical area, promoting the health of the population, reducing the effects of ill health and disability and maximising the individuals potential for independence. You will be expected to work closely with General Practices, Social Services and other statutory and non-statutory services to meet the needs of the local population, so excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
As well as bringing your clinical expertise, you will be a champion of integrated community care. You will be a strong team player, an excellent communicator who is adaptable, committed, organised and able to work well under pressure. You will support the development, implementation and maintenance of high quality safe and sustainable clinical and operational leadership under the direction of.
Main duties of the job
* To lead, support and work within a multi-professional team.
* To undertake specialist and complex assessments and care planning.
* Supervise and train junior staff and students.

Minimum Requirements
* MCSP Dip PT / BSc / BSc(Hons) PT / MSc Physiotherapist
* Registered as a Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professionals Council
* Relevant Post graduate qualification
* Teaching and assessing in clinical practice
* To possess a current, valid driving licence and to be a competent driver
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Knowledge of legislation affecting professional practice
* Up to date community experience
* Case management experience
* Experience of working with adults
* Working with a multi-disciplinary team
* Leadership experience
* Teaching experience
* Knowledge of recruitment, selection & appraisal system
* Setting and monitoring standards of care
* Experience within a wide range of patient/client care groups
* To be able to communicate with people from a wide range of backgrounds
* To be able to work flexibly and sensitively
* Wide range of interpersonal and communication skills
* Competence in a wide range of physiotherapy skills
* I.T. literate
* Skills in preparing and presenting teaching sessions
* Undertake specific physiotherapy tasks requiring precision and/or intense concentration. Undertaking complex physiotherapy skills
* Manual handling skills and experience
* Ability to sensitively inform service users on complex and distressing issues, able to support and facilitate staff in dealing with these
