Job summary
We are looking to recruit friendly, enthusiastic, caring, professional and hardworking staff to support our extremely busy practice in Didcot.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients through face-to-face contact at reception or through calls from patients seeking help and support. Having a friendly and caring nature is vital in maintaining a positive experience for our patients.
Once you have the basics under your belt, there is an opportunity to extend your expertise and knowledge into other areas of administrative functions such as referrals, registrations, document management, and prescriptions.

Main duties of the job
1. Greet patients on their arrival and create a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
2. Deal with queries at reception such as prescription requirements, booking appointments, and providing advice.
3. Book patients into our appointment system for various services.
4. Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice.
5. Book and manage appointments for clinicians, managing potential delays.
6. Receive, assist, and direct patients in accessing appropriate services.
7. Facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare professionals.
8. Provide cross-team support when required.
