We are seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team for ad-hoc supply work across various secondary schools in Norwich and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and enjoy the flexibility of supply work. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged with the set work and maintaining a positive classroom environment. This role is for February 2025.
Duties as a Cover Supervisor:
* Supervising students aged 11-18 in the absence of their regular teacher.
* Ensuring that students complete the work set by the absent teacher.
* Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Supporting students with any questions or challenges they may have during the lesson.
* Reporting back to the regular teacher on the progress of the class.
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
* Experience: Minimum of 6 months experience as a Cover Supervisor in a UK school working with children aged 11-18.
* Skills: Strong classroom management skills, confident in supervising a range of subjects.
* Flexibility: Willingness to work on an ad-hoc basis in various schools.
* Transport: A valid driver's license and access to your transport is preferred, as the role requires travel to different schools.
* Availability: Must be able to respond to supply work requests at short notice.
