The Hounslow Integrated Community Response Service (ICRS) is looking for new team members.
We are currently seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist or experienced Junior Occupational Therapist wanting to progress to Senior level as part of a development programme. You must have a broad range of previous experience and knowledge, looking for an opportunity to develop skills in admission avoidance, rapid response and management of acutely unwell clients in crisis in the community. You must be flexible and responsive with excellent time management skills as the team is required to be reactive and priorities change frequently throughout the day.
If you apply as a Junior Occupational Therapist, you will be considered for a 6-month development programme to reach Senior level in this time frame. This will be assessed as part of the programme, and you will be provided support to reach these goals.
You should have sound skills in clinical reasoning, excellent communication and be confident in working alone and in a busy multi-disciplinary environment. You will have opportunities to develop yourself, be involved with the professional development of more junior staff, HSC Assistants, Students and participate in multi-disciplinary audit and research.
We have a number of forward-thinking quality initiatives developing with in the team, e.g. Hospital at Home service working closely with West Middlesex Hospital and a lifting service throughout the borough.
· Assess clients on a designated caseload, plan, implement and evaluate interventions using evidence based/best practice, working towards client centred goals in the context of the speciality and as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
· Provide leadership and supervision for junior occupational therapists, support staff and occupational therapy students on clinical placement.
· Exercise good personal time management, punctuality and consistent reliability.
· Participate in the delivery of the service business and clinical governance plans.
· Be aware of and comply with the Health and Safety requirements.
