Schedule: 30-47.5 hours a week Holiday: 5.6 weeks per year MAIN DUTIES Plan, organize and execute a wide variety of activities for the children that are suitable to their individual stages of development. Ensure that child records are accurate, well-written and up to date such reports, observations, accident/incident forms etc. Build relationships and strong partnerships with the parents. Ensure the provision of a high-quality and inclusive environment to meet the needs of individual children. Ensure the maintenance of adequate standards of cleanliness and hygiene for the children attending the nursery. This includes changing nappies and toilet training. Assist with serving and washing up the childrens lunches and snacks. Ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed. Understand that safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyones responsibility and act accordingly. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS A Level 3 qualification recognized by the DfE for counting in the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework staff: child ratios. COMPETENCIES AND PERSONAL QUALITIES A clear understanding of how children develop A clear understanding of the ways children enjoy learning. A clear understanding of safeguarding principles. A good knowledge of the EYFS. Reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible. A can-do attitude. Strong communicator with both children and adults. REPORTING Reports to the nursery manager, or in their absence the deputy manager or most senior practitioner on site SAFEGUARDING Safeguarding is our core responsibility.
