Adjunct Instructor for Teacher Education, Beginning Academic Year 2024-2025 (POOL POSTING)
This is a POOL posting accepting applications on a rolling basis for adjunct positions that become available beginning with the 2024-2025 academic year.
Ohio University invites applicants for adjunct instructors to teach on the regional campuses (Eastern, Chillicothe, Lancaster, Southern or Zanesville) in undergraduate courses for the Early and Middle Childhood program who can teach theory and practice courses, as well as support clinical instruction.
Preference will be given to applicants who can teach in-person (face-to-face) ECEE 3300 (Methods of Teaching Mathematics for Early Childhood and Elementary Education), ECEE 3801 (Play & Creativity in Early Childhood & Elementary School), EDTE 2000 (Learning and Human Development), ECEE 2500 (Learning to Read: Theory and Practice), ECEE 3110 (Reading to Learn: Content and Practice), ECEE 3120 (Using Reading Assessments to Inform Instruction) and EDEC 1600 (Introduction to Child Development).

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Early or Middle Childhood Education or related field at the time of application. Current or prior teaching license.
Preferred Qualifications
At least three years of relevant and recent K to 9th grade classroom experience. Demonstrated knowledge of theory and research-supported best practices for teaching and learning.
