Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to children, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and other professionals. A background in childcare or experience working with children is highly desirable.
Competitive rates of pay - £11.44 an hour plus £70 sleep in rate per sleep completed.
Responsibilities
1. Provide personalised care and support to children and young people.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs.
3. Engage with children through various activities that promote learning and development.
4. Maintain accurate records of care provided, including any changes in behaviour or health.
5. Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the individual's care.
6. Drive to various locations as required to provide support services.
7. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in a support worker or similar role is preferred, particularly with children.
2. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with individuals and their families.
3. Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual needs.
4. IT skills for maintaining records and documentation accurately.
5. A valid driving licence is necessary for transporting individuals as needed.
6. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals.
