R&M & Voids works to a stock size of approx. 7000 for our client Croydon Borough Council. Approx £5m per annum turnover.
Contract duration – 1st August 23 contract commencement – contract term to 2030

About the Role:
You will be operational lead on a Social Housing R&M contract with our client Croydon Borough Council, responsible for delivering Repairs and Maintenance including empty property refurbishments to a stock size of approx. 7,000 properties. The General Manager will be responsible for creating a high performing culture and fostering a professional and effective working relationship with our client whilst ensuring a safe and customer focused, quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing effective leadership, a demonstrable strong approach to mentoring and motivation of staff within the Branch team by setting a clear direction for the contract and leading by example. Set targets and objectives that encapsulate the Division’s strategy.
* Develop sustainable key Client/Stakeholder relationships, ensuring a high quality of customer engagement and involvement.
* Ensure the customer experience is central to all activities and embedded in all stakeholders of the Branch/Contract operation to ensure an efficient and productive service is delivered to service users and clients.
* Follow appropriate training to fully understand the business operating systems to ensure compliant effective cost control and efficient operational performance.
* Review, monitor and control Branch/Contract performance to ensure delivery of P&L is in line with or exceeding agreed budget levels. Ensure at a minimum monthly structured reviews of the Branch/Contract that demonstrate stringent controls.
* Demonstrate control over all business governance, risk management processes and adherence to delegated authorities.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Regulations by working closely with the H&S Manager to ensure compliance.
* Embed company values and procedures through the principles of Mears Red Thread, to be monitored through your monthly Branch/Contract meetings, annual appraisals and annual staff surveys (Say What You See).
