Main duties of the job
* Responsible for assisting the qualified nursing team with setting up of the clinical area.
* Looking after patients pre and post procedure and reporting any concerns to the nursing team.
* Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team to maintain high levels of patient care and dignity.
* Contribute to clerical duties when required.
* Contribute to cleaning and housekeeping within the department.
* Ensure stock is available as required.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* Have recognised qualifications in Maths and English at Grade 3-2 (GCSE grade D-E, Functional Skills Level 1).
* To work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
* Willingness to undertake and complete the apprenticeship course within 18 months.
* Ability to communicate with members of the public and colleagues.
* Presents self as courteous, respectful and helpful.
* Ability to work effectively under direct supervision, as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
* Basic IT skills.
* GCSEs in English and Maths at Grades 9-4 (or A*-C or Level 2 Functional Skills or equivalent).
* Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
* Understanding of confidentiality issues.
* Alignment to Trust values and core behaviours.
Job responsibilities
If selected for interview, you must provide evidence of your Maths and English qualification certificates. Failure to do so will withdraw you from the process.
You will need to be able to meet all the eligibility requirements as prescribed by the apprenticeship criteria to undertake the role.
To be eligible for an apprenticeship you must:
* Be aged 18 or over (due to the nature of the shifts and role).
* Have the right to work and remain in the UK.
* Have lived in the UK for at least 3 years.
* Provide original evidence of required English and maths qualifications.
Please be advised if you are a 'Non-UK National' applicant you must meet the eligibility criteria and fulfil the settlement requirements of the apprenticeship course funding. Your settlement status will need to be verified as eligible for funding, by the relevant apprenticeship provider, for you to formally enroll on the course.

* English and Maths at Level 1 or equivalent (GCSE 3-2, or D-E or Functional/Key Skills at Level 1).
