Job Title: Ofsted Registered Manager Location: The Spruces, London, CR2 Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: We are looking for a passionate and experienced Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a newly established 5-bed children's home, The Spruces, in London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing children’s residential services, ensuring the home provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for young people in care. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children’s home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards. Oversee the development and implementation of care plans for each child, ensuring they are tailored to meet their individual needs. Provide leadership and supervision to a team of care staff, ensuring they receive appropriate training and support to carry out their roles effectively. Ensure the home operates within budget and resources are managed efficiently. Maintain accurate records and reports in line with regulatory requirements and best practices. Liaise with external agencies, families, and other professionals to ensure the well-being and progress of the children and young people in care. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback from staff and children to enhance the service provided. Ensure a strong focus on safeguarding, child protection, and the emotional well-being of the children in the home. Essential Qualifications & Experience: Must hold Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare and Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management. At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within an Ofsted-regulated Children’s Home. Comprehensive knowledge of Ofsted regulations, child protection, and safeguarding procedures. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and supportive working environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with young people, families, and professionals. Desirable Skills: Experience in managing a new or start-up residential service. A full, valid UK driving licence (strongly favourable). Benefits: Competitive salary up to £60,000.
