We are seeking a Recovery Room Registered Nurse for our PACU. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a high acuity environment. What you will do in this role:
* You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of post-operative patients.
* You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
* You will maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination results.
* You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
* Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
* PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
* Registered Nurse with a diploma.
* Critical thinking, service excellence, good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC skills.
* Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
