Following the release of ARRS funding for GPs, we are looking to expand our team by seeking to employ a newly qualified General Practitioner (you must be within 2 years of certificate of completion of training at the start of employment).
You will work across our 6 practices alongside a range of roles with excellent opportunities for in-house multi-disciplinary team working.
This will initially be on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2025. We will consider applications for between 6 and 8 sessions with a start date as soon as possible.
Main duties of the job
To perform as an autonomous general practitioner working independently and with other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose and treat the conditions of patients attending within a primary care setting. Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence. To be involved in the provision of education and training to GP Registrars and other staff.
You will be required to work across 6 practices supporting our practices through the winter period.
To undertake duties governed by the PMS & GMS contract and Objectives of Direct and Local Enhanced contracts.
To be professionally accountable and responsible for all elements of clinical practice in accordance with the GMC code of conduct ensuring the safety of patients and quality of their care is primary.
The post holder will need to be capable of independent travel across the Leyland, Chorley, South Ribble area and able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the Business.

Experience

* Not previously been substantively employed at a GP Practice
* General understanding of the primary care contract
* Experience of medicines management
* Experience of ICB initiatives
Qualifications
* Qualified GP
* MRCGP
* Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
* General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT) - within less than 2 years at start of employment
