Job Summary:We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our client's team as Children's Residential Support Workers. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people within a residential home setting. You will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment, helping children with learning difficulties or challenging behaviours to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, promoting trust, empathy, and understanding.
* Assist with daily activities, including personal care, educational support, and recreational activities.
* Implement individual care plans and support children in achieving their personal goals.
* Manage challenging behaviours using appropriate strategies and interventions.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
* Work collaboratively with other team members, professionals, and families to provide holistic support.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 6 months of paid experience in children's care within the UK in the last 3 years.
* Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
* Enhanced DBS check (can be applied for upon registration).
* Right to work in the UK.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to manage challenging situations with patience and resilience.
* Passion for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people.
