Salary: Grade 03 SCP 3-6 £24,027 - £25,183 (pro Rata of FTE)
Hours: 32.5 hrs per week, Term Time only (39 weeks)
8.30am-3.30pm (with 30 minutes lunch break)

The Governing Body and Headteacher are looking to appoint enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to work as Teaching Assistants in a variety of settings across our inclusive, welcoming school that is at the heart of its community.
Roles include working in classes across the school therefore we will appoint candidates to year groups that suit their skills and experiences. These roles will be based in mainstream classes and will involve:
-supporting pupils in class under the supervision and direction of the class teacher
-working with ALN pupils on specific targets in their IDP
-providing general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom, including preparation, and routine maintenance of resources/equipment.
These posts are advertised on a temporary basis from 1st September 2025 until 31st August 2026 due to funding. However, if there is sufficient funding then the role will continue beyond the end date above. Therefore, excellent support and professional development will be provided to ensure that you are highly effective in your role.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
These posts are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £12 per hour (scp 2 - 4). This supplement will be reviewed in January 2024 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
