Electromechanical Field Service Engineer
This role is a field-based position covering a customer base in the South West, with an initial focus on servicing and installing ultrasound equipment for healthcare providers. As you gain experience and training, you will also have the opportunity to work on Ophthalmology and Robotics equipment, as well as other disciplines.
Role Objective:
To provide expert electromechanical support to customers in the South West region, ensuring timely repair, maintenance, and installation of medical equipment, including ultrasound systems, ophthalmic devices, and robotics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Travel to customer sites to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of medical equipment.
* Collaborate with customers to identify and resolve technical issues related to equipment performance.
* Provide comprehensive training and support to customers on the use and operation of medical equipment.
* Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical problems, working closely with manufacturers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
Requirements:
* Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics).
* Proven experience in field service engineering, preferably in a medical device industry.
* Strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, and software principles.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
