The Expedition Equipment Support Officer for HQ Army Adventurous Training Group (AATG) provides a centralised focus for all Group sponsored adventurous training clothing and equipment (ATCE) procurement, management and maintenance, plus Tri-Service liaison for associated Joint Service Adventurous Training (JSAT) Scheme equipment sourcing and management.
The position is based in MOD Bicester, however, the job holder must be willing to travel to HQ in Upavon when required. So a Driving Licence is preferable for the travel from site to site.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job description
Main responsibilities to include:
1. Act as the initial point of contact for all adventurous training clothing and equipment and related matters, providing procurement, management and maintenance advice.
2. Develop, maintain, and lead on a Loan Pool adventurous training clothing and equipment replacement plan that ensures sufficient stock levels are maintained to meet expedition demands.
3. Conduct adventurous training clothing and equipment management assurance checks at Loan Pool to ensure compliance with statutory and Defence regulations.
4. Review and maintain the Army AT Group adventurous training clothing and equipment Management Policy.
5. Within range of experience, provide adventurous training clothing and equipment advice and support for Expedition Planning & Assurance Officers and expedition leaders.
6. Monitor equipment trends and consult with subject matter experts to identify or confirm current and future adventurous training clothing and equipment requirements.
7. Undertake other tasks as appropriate to their grade in furtherance of Group objectives.

Previous experience within a logistics environment such as transportation/ delivery, storage and distribution.
Desirable:
Previous experience working in a warehouse.
