Job summary Assistant Practitioner : Laurel Ward - Inpatient for Older People with Organic Mental Illness. Main duties of the job Whilst there are some roles and responsibilities that can only be carried out by a Registered Nurse, we are looking to develop the role of an Assistant Practitioner to enable participation in a wider range of opportunities. This includes participating in clinical reviews, completing relevant documentation such as clinical notes and risk assessments (under the supervision of a Registered Nurse) and medication administration following completion of training and competency assessment. You would also be involved in change management projects such as quality improvement. You will support the Registered Nurses with the day to day activities and provide support to service users throughout their inpatient journey. You will be required to work across the 24 - 7 shift patterns.
