About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Lead to join a well-respected Tier 1 Main Contractor for a flagship education project in North Essex, near Braintree and Bishop's Stortford. This is a permanent on-site role with site setup works already underway. The project involves new build of a school on a green-belt site, on a 3-year phased handover programme, with a project value of £70m.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering education or school projects, and must demonstrate longevity in previous roles with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors. If you have a proven track record of managing large-scale builds and leading teams to deliver excellence, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
2. Manage teams and stakeholders effectively, fostering collaboration across all levels.
3. Implement health, safety, and environmental procedures to maintain site compliance.
4. Proactively manage risks, budgets, and schedules to achieve project milestones.
Essential Requirements:
1. CSCS Black/White Card, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications.
2. Ideally MCIOB (Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building).
3. Proven track record delivering education or school projects, reflected clearly in your CV.
4. Enhanced DBS Clearance (or ability to obtain).
5. Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and stakeholder management.
6. The chosen Project Manager should be located in the area within daily commute of site and be happy to work throughout the East Anglia region on future projects.
