Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Test and Termination Technician to join our team at JDR Cable Systems. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong background in electrical or hydraulic systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling subsea metalwork, ensuring the testing and verification of conformance for all products manufactured by JDR, materials purchased by JDR, and free-issue parts supplied by customers. This involves working closely with the Test, Termination and Load Out Team Leader to ensure compliance with quality plans, relevant procedures, and test criteria.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing specifications, FAT procedures, and quality plans. They will also be competent in using different resins/moulding materials and various preparation techniques currently employed within the termination department.
* In-process and final testing, termination, and inspection of all manufactured products by and within JDR accordance with individual manufacturing specifications, quality plans, relevant procedures, and any other test criteria laid down by the Design or Quality Departments.
* The mechanical assembly of termination parts and subsea connectors, including the swaging of hydraulic and pneumatic hoses and their integration with stab plates, winches, and QRCs, is conducted per manufacturing specifications.
* Be competent in using different resins/moulding materials and the various preparation techniques currently employed within the termination department to ensure conformance of all products manufactured within the JDR.
