Introduction to role:
Are you ready to manage and provide environment, health & safety support for Company operations? Primarily supporting our Liverpool site, you will also provide corporate-wide support as needed, and influence site and global EHS strategy. The key responsibilities will be to support the development and implement strategies appropriate to the agreed values and culture across the whole organisation, ensuring that policies, procedures and guidance's are in place to ensure both legal compliance and compliance to group standards.
Accountabilities:
As a Director, you will comply with required standards with respect to documentation, good housekeeping, cGMP, health and safety, timekeeping, regulatory legislative requirements and in accordance with the rules and requirements of the GMP Compliance Rulebook, the Code of Conduct, quality manual and any other company policies and procedures. You will take ownership of all actions undertaken as part of the role, ensuring commitments to the organisation and colleagues are always met. You will ensure Operational Excellence is integrated into the team's responsibilities. This should include adopting a philosophy of continuous improvement and a "Right First Time From Me" attitude to all operations.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Well qualified, probably at degree/HND level with a sound educational background in Engineering, Chemistry or Biological Safety.
- A Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety (IOSH) and be a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner together with Chartered Member Status of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) and /or Associate Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
- Previous experience in manufacturing environment is essential.
- Customer Driven; action orientated; strong communications and planning skills; flexibility' creativity; in depth of Safety Best Practice, knowledge of safe handling of biological agents and chemicals;
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- (CMIOSH) and /or Associate Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment
