The role
Here at Northumbria Police, we think our region is amazing! This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Corporate Department as a Governance and Planning Coordinator.
As a Governance and Planning Coordinator you will co-ordinate and maintain a corporate knowledge management system to capture all force issues, decisions and actions to support the force governance framework and inform organisational learning.
What you’ll do
1. Serve as the primary contact for all information and benchmarking requests from external agencies, ensuring a unified corporate response in all communications.
2. Record and distribute information and correspondence from external agencies, coordinating with relevant Area Commands and Departments to ensure timely progress and action.
3. Provide secretariat support to designated force committees, briefing Chairs as needed and updating Force instructions to maintain the governance structure.
4. Conduct research and strategic scanning, compile national and local data to identify threats, risks, and opportunities, and prepare reports to inform strategic planning, decision-making, and policy development.
5. Oversee Force instructional information systems, offering guidance to users, ensuring quality and accuracy, and monitoring progress to maintain relevant and accurate information.
