BMI UK&I have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Pricing Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Commercial & Pricing Strategy Manager, this role is based in Milton Keynes. Role Summary This role plays a critical part in helping BMI optimise its pricing models to maintain competitiveness whilst ensuring profitability. As the Pricing Analyst you will help with the maintenance of customer pricing within the system, as well as the management of pricing strategies. You will achieve this through analysing sales and competitor data in order to provide reporting for the sales, marketing and finance teams. You will support in analysing price change performance to make recommendations for future pricing that will improve overall margin. The role will be key in providing insights which are accurate, data driven, meaningful and consistent for the wider business to support with the delivery of commercial decisions and the achievement of the company objectives. As the Pricing Analyst, your key responsibilities will be: Maintain and update customer pricing, ensuring that all information is accurate, current, and accessible to relevant stakeholders. Analyse price changes, track margins and provide recommendations to ensure profitability targets are met. Provide data driven recommendations on pricing adjustments, discount structures as well as pricing incentives. Support sales team with accurate pricing analysis to drive correct commercial decisions, ensuring that all pricing is competitive and profitable. Analyse project quotations to ensure pricing aligns with company goals and minimums. Generate regular reports for the commercial team, highlighting key pricing metrics and performance. Investigate and resolve pricing queries on the system to avoid invoice queries. Maintain detailed documentation of pricing strategies, decisions and adjustments for auditing and future reference. Your key skills and experience will include: Advanced Excel/ google sheets skills for data manipulation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and turn it into insights Understanding of cost structures, profitability analysis and margin optimisation. Detail-oriented and commercial acumen with the ability to handle data to drive decisions and spot opportunities to add value. Strong organisational and communication skills - able to present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders in simple and actionable presentations. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders, building good relationships across teams. Experience in pricing, commercial or financial analysis. Familiarity with SAP or other ERP system (desirable) Degree in data science, statistics, mathematics or economics (desirable). Familiarity with CRM systems (desirable).
