Systems Engineer Location: RedhillPermanent roleWe are searching for a System Engineer who is able to provide design and configuration of MOD/Gov Projects. They will liaise with projects office for delivery of assigned work. Testing and evaluate new equipment as directed and deliver on assigned projects IAW project specificationsKey Responsibilities of a System Engineer:To ensure that all drawing work and technical documentation are providedVerification of technical equipment IAW project specificationsWhen required, visit customer sites in support of projectsDefine IP structure’s for new projects and provide guidance to the teamsTo define equipment list’s and specification’s to projects officeVerification of new software, ensuring that each build meets test criteria and efficiencyTo support customer meetings for future projects and enhancements specifically those projects which require an understanding of the customer’s needsProactive member of the Duty MOD/Gov engineer Rota and support structureProvide supporting information for new technical proposalsTo provide training as required for new systemsLiaison with MOD/Gov agencies as required for any trialsFlexible in attitude and availability for MOD/Gov customers’ needsThe successful System Engineer would:Work anonymously with very little guidance, ensuring all work is evaluated/completed within project timeframes.Assist other team members when project priorities change.Must hold, or have the ability to achieve, DV Security ClearanceMinimum degree level qualification in a relevant discipline or relevant experience at an equivalent level essential. Engineering degree preferredBroad ICT and Satellite communications experience highly desirableCisco CCNA or equivalent minimum experienceExperience with Juniper and Fortinet
