What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you an inspirational and child-centred Primary School Headteacher who would inspire and lead our brand-new Academy located in the West of Waterlooville on its growth, development and Journey to Excellence?
The University of Chichester Academy Trust’s brand-new academy will serve the evolving communities at the western edge of the Berewood development and will become an integral part of the wider local community.
The Trust is seeking an energetic and innovative Headteacher who will take full advantage of this unique chance to create an exceptional learning environment from the ground level up. We intend to make this academy “outstanding from the start” so that all pupils will enjoy a wide and rich curriculum, and benefit from well-designed, attractive surroundings that will enable really effective teaching.

Across the Trust there is a shared commitment for collaboration which has empowered leaders to share their expertise and work together for the benefit of all. We are all committed to the same vision and values and a shared belief that education has the power to transform society.
As an inspirational, innovative and inclusive leader, you will drive the strategic direction of Newlands Primary Academy School. You will empower and motivate your staff and pupils to ensure excellence in learning and teaching and ensure that our new Academy is outstanding from the start.
Aligning to the culture and ethos of the Trust, you will provide a child-centred approach to education, an engaging curriculum, and will inspire a sense of collective purpose, with high aspirations for pupils and staff. You will drive and lead the growth and development of our new academy and work collaboratively with parents, our Central Trust team, and other Trust academies to develop and deliver a dynamic partnership model and advocate for the Trust.
