An amazing school in Kidlington is looking for a Behaviour and Intervention Support Assistant to join them in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for their students. The role is to start ASAP or in January 2025.
The role focuses on supporting students to manage and process their emotions in healthy ways and ensure that they have access to healthy coping strategies to use at school and at home.
As a dedicated Behaviour and Intervention Support Assistant, your work will involve focusing on and delivering tailored interventions for the students who need it most. You will also play a vital role in supporting students with challenging behaviour in the classroom, ensuring they are equipped with the right tools to support them in laying down foundations for good mental health.
Your responsibilities as a Behaviour and Intervention Support Assistant include:
* Fostering trusting and supportive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and resilience
* Assisting with classroom activities, ensuring students are engaged and participating
* Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents
* Helping model healthy coping strategies and social skills
* Maintaining a safe and positive learning environment
* Working closely with students to implement individualised support for students with autism
* Implementing individualised therapeutic strategies
* Supporting students in developing social communication skills
