UK Sales Director – Retail Location: Remote with travel Package: £Negotiable Car Allowance Bonus Benefits As a business we’ve continued to go from strength to strength as we’ve grown and evolved, as part of our next phase of growth we’re looking to appoint a Sales Director to take the lead on delivering a Retail wide sales and distribution strategy to enable our continued growth as a forever company™. You’ll already understand the ins and outs of Insurance and be able to work within a highly agile and engaged leadership team to deliver meaningful results at all levels across our Retail operations. The day to day: Development and delivery of the multi segment strategy and budget for all our UK business in accordance with policies and objectives of B&B. Represent and promote the Group brand to customers, markets, industry bodies, regulators and teammates Develop and maintain strong relationship with stakeholders, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction with the services provided Executive Leadership of a virtual team of insurance professionals, with a key focus on ‘growing within’ and driving professional development Promote a culture of integrity, transparency and personal responsibility, welcoming challenge Ensure teammates are appropriately appraised, trained, supervised and rewarded to reinforce the culture Ensure clarity of responsibility and reporting lines via appropriate documentation Drive innovation and industry leadership within the business, leveraging executive experience to anticipate market shifts and technological advancements Work collaboratively with other Senior Leaders, departments and functions to ensure a unified and effective organizational strategy (e.g. our regional Retail Managing Directors) Take risks aligned to the company’s risk appetite for the benefit of the shareholder and other stakeholders such as clients and colleagues Continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the business and to use processes to reinforce and drive the high performance culture Create a client focused, entrepreneurial culture, that delivers the business objectives in a way that is consistent with Group ethical values Ensure that potential conflicts of interest are identified and managed appropriately Take ultimate responsibility for the management and oversight of any agreed outsourced or joint venture relationship. Act in accordance with the requirements and responsibilities of a Senior Management Function holder Ensure that legal, compliance, risk and regulatory obligations are met Lead and deliver training in sales skills Build a sales community across the UK business, with which you shall roll out and maintain a consistent communication strategy. Support the development of our customer propositions & programmes. Work with other departments to ensure we have the right tools and systems to be able to effectively manage our customer relationships. Drive improvements in all parts of the sale process, including Retention, Cross Selling, Upselling and traditional New Business. About you: Extensive experience in leading sales functions within insurance organisations and/or in the financial services sector at director level across a matrix. Track record of delivering results, with excellent relationship management skills. Track record of dealing with the management of large groups of multi-disciplined colleagues often within a matrix organisation. Experience of leading a function or business under a comparable legal and regulatory regime.
