Senior Project Manager – Data Analytics - Remote or Hybrid
An innovative company is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Project Manager with a background in contract management, STEM, energy or consultancy who is adept at nurturing long-lasting, reliable relationships with both customers and colleagues. The successful Project Manager will manage multiple projects, highlighting your strong organisational skills and ability to effectively communicate and inspire others.
Key responsibilities:
1. Working with colleagues to generate new business opportunities and develop proposals for new projects.
2. Providing mentorship in project management to support and advise new or less experienced project managers.
3. Maintaining risk management records for current projects.
4. Performing project audits and resolving any identified issues or discrepancies.
5. Being flexible in response to changes and proactively seeking ways to enhance customer satisfaction.
6. Building positive relationships with both customers and project teams, collaborating closely with Account Managers to fulfil client requirements and expectations.
7. Monitoring progress, overseeing resources, and mitigating risks through regular meetings.
8. Sharing insights gained and promoting continuous improvement in future endeavours with colleagues.
9. Strategising the delivery of project results.
10. Guaranteeing project tasks and outputs meet the required quality benchmarks.
11. Assessing and communicating progress in relation to time and budget constraints.
Essential skills:
1. Demonstrable (min 5 years) experience as a project manager.
2. Contract management.
3. Managing complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
4. Previous experience in engaging with customers and delivering compelling presentations.
5. Proven ability to manage and motivate remote teams, comprehend customer needs, and review reports for accuracy.
6. Project management qualification and MS Project experience.
Desirable skills:
1. A degree-level background ideally within STEM (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Economics).
2. STEM, consultancy, software or scientific background.
3. Experience of working to a formal project management methodology is ideal but not essential (e.g., Prince2, Agile, Waterfall, APM etc.).
4. Background in the software or technical consulting industry.
