Ensuring all personnel under your supervision have undertaken the appropriate site training and are in possession of a valid SIA licence. Being fully conversant with all client fire, emergency, and evacuation procedures. Monitoring and managing the appearance, behaviours, and standards of all security personnel in line with company policy. Monitoring and investigating all reported incidents and accidents. Monitoring faults with security-related equipment. Being fully conversant with operational functions including access control, CCTV, detection, and alarm systems. Ensuring there are sufficient officers to cover designated duties. Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times. Leading, managing, and motivating direct reports including goal setting, performance reviews, appraisals, performance management, coaching, training, and development planning. Assisting the Security Shift Manager in any other roles. The Deputy Security Shift Manager role involves 12-hour shifts, and you must be available for both day and night shifts with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence. Valid SIA CCTV Licence. Fully comprehensive 5-year work/unemployment/education history that is possible to screen to BS7858. High levels of written and verbal communication skills. Competent in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have demonstrable experience of working in a similar role in high profile/high footfall environments. Be punctual and reliable. Experience in the supervision of staff. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Able to negotiate and deal with sensitive and confidential matters. Adaptable and responsive to changes in priorities, plans, and schedules.
