Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to appoint a driven and enthusiastic After School Care Leader, with a passion for working with children, and keeping them safe, happy and active. Working within our ASC department, the appointee will be responsible for leading the programme, designing interactive activities, supporting homework, and serving a light tea. This role will suit a compassionate individual who is willing to put the needs of pupils first, taking an active role in their after-school life, both inside and outside in the School grounds. Experience working with children in a similar setting would be an advantage.
We are a warm and family-oriented community, with a strong emphasis upon the holistic needs of our children, as well as strong academics. We pride ourselves on knowing our children well and creating a personalised learning journey, for each and every one of them. We can offer the right candidate a happy and supportive working environment.
The post holder will commence work at the beginning of the Spring Term. However, we would welcome an earlier start depending upon availability.
This post will involve regulated activity with children. Please note this means being responsible on a regular basis for teaching, supervising, training, instructing, and caring for children without supervision.
Staff are expected to take responsibility for their own continuous professional development including attending relevant training and CPD and to participate in the annual performance review process.
We have a commitment to safeguarding the pupils in our school. Safer recruitment checks will be conducted.
The Ideal Candidate
Enthusiastic individual possessing drive, energy, and commitment, with a presence that engenders confidence and respect from pupils, colleagues, and parents.
1. Proven ability to inspire pupils.
2. Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage a varied workload.
3. Team focused: shares knowledge and information with other members of staff to promote good practice.
4. Focuses on what needs to be delivered: understands what is needed and responds promptly.
5. Commitment to the highest standards of educational and pastoral care for all pupils.
