General Description:
In the Facilities Management Department, we take pride in our buildings and grounds and provide a welcoming, service-oriented, clean and safe environment for our students, faculty and staff. Under general supervision, performs labour maintenance functions on grounds.
Typical Duties:
1. Trims, cuts and waters grass; maintains all soft landscaping, including activities such as watering, weeding, cultivating, fertilizing, pruning, etc.;
2. Prepares ground for planting; plants flowers, shrubs and trees;
3. Works on campus cleaning details;
4. Removes graffiti and posters from campus property;
5. Works on snow and ice removal;
6. Other related duties as required.
Education: Completion of grade 12 or equivalent.
Experience: One year of related work experience is preferred.
Other: Physical ability to perform laborious outdoor work, demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written), works under all weather conditions. Must possess a valid provincial class 'G' driver's license. Applicants are also expected to show evidence of a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and the promotion of a respectful and collegial learning and working environment.

1. There are 5 vacancies for this position, and the hours differ for each.
2. The hourly rate for this role is $19.00/hr.
3. This casual position is from May 12, 2025, to August 30, 2025.
