Admin Assistant Start Date: as soon as possible after the 13th January 2025 Closing Date: Monday 6th January 2025 Interview Date: Monday 13th January 2025 Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, Friday 8.30 am to 3.00 pm, term time only, plus 5 inset days, and 1 extra week to be worked during academy holidays. Salary: MNSP Grade 3 Scale point 5-7 £24,790 - £25,584 pro rata; Actual salary £21,278 - £22,532 per annum Job Purpose: We are seeking a friendly and efficient Admin Assistant to provide clerical, word processing functions and reception cover as and when required. Working under the direction and supervision of the Bursar/HR Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations within the Academy. Key Responsibilities: Complete a range of clerical and administrative duties, including processing Annual Review Paperwork, Termly Newsletter, Parent Pay, Letters to Parents. Review Day paperwork. Handle telephone enquiries, take messages, and distribute them to the relevant staff. Arranging transport and communicating with taxi companies. Support the Bursar/HR Manager with HR tasks such as recording/monitoring of staff absence, processing letters and recruitment processes. Provide Admin support to the Leadership Team. Support reception with recording/updating student information on our MIS system. Assist with word processing, filing, photocopying, and other office tasks. Help maintain a safe environment within the school and report any health and safety concerns. Requirements: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in administrative tasks and office software. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment. Ability to work to deadlines and use their initiative. About our Academy: We are a residential academy for boys, aged 8-19, with 50 students on roll and situated in leafy Wiltshire.
