ICT Consultant Location: Reading - Berkshire Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 Overview: Turn IT on is looking for an ICT Consultant with a flair for technology and a passion for exemplary service to join our team supporting schools across Reading. The role involves maintaining IT hardware and services in schools, improving ICT provisions, and enabling effective teaching and learning through ICT solutions. The candidate will facilitate communication between schools and Turn IT on, managing customer accounts, maintaining computer equipment, installing software, providing technical support, and resolving technical problems. Good knowledge of common user applications and experience with Microsoft Office365 is required. Experience: At least 2 years in an ICT Technician or 2nd line support role is preferred, ideally in the education sector. The candidate should be self-motivated, skilled in customer service, and able to explain technical issues in layman’s terms. Responsibilities include: Resolve and manage technical issues that impact the school’s function by providing robust solutions. Install or repair computers with standardized applications and networking software, diagnosing and solving operational problems. Respond to a range of technical duties associated with computer network and desktop services, primarily upgrading existing installations (Desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, PA equipment, AV lecterns, and hardware). The role is full-time and will require an enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
