Venture Recruitment Partners is supporting with the recruitment of a Permanent Credit Controller based in Littlehampton.
The prime responsibility of this role is to ensure the timely collection of customer debts and to minimise the ageing profile of all outstanding amounts to maximise the cash receipts. This includes ensuring processes are maintained effectively to allow systematic collection.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for managing and collecting customer debts in line with agreed terms
Maintaining clear records of all customer communications
Performing credit checks, setting and monitoring credit limits for new and existing customers
Ensuring customer account details are correct and up to date
Distributing statements and standard follow up letters as necessary
Generating direct debit collection runs
Managing the accounts email inbox and phone calls
Support the Finance team transactionally as needed; i.e. cover for holidays/sickness
Any other tasks which may be reasonably expected
Key Skills :
Experience/understanding of credit control
Have working knowledge of Excel & an accounting system
Be a proactive and positive member of the team
