Full Stack Developer – Node.js, React, TypeScript, IoT (Data Visualisation & Analysis)
Manchester (2 Days per week in the office)
£55,000 - £65,000
Are you a talented Full Stack Developer looking for your next exciting challenge? I’m working exclusively with a forward-thinking, data-driven client that plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of essential medicines and vaccines—including the UK’s strategic stock of COVID vaccines.
This is your chance to work on innovative projects that empower industries, protect critical assets, and deliver real-world impact.
About the Client
My client is a technology leader with a SaaS platform that tackles high-stakes challenges across industries, including:
* Pharmaceutical Compliance: Monitoring the storage conditions of essential medicines and vaccines, including thousands of freezers storing the UK’s strategic vaccine stock. Their platform ensures uptime, data integrity, and real-time alerts to prevent costly and potentially life-threatening temperature deviations.
* Energy Monitoring: Supporting food manufacturers in optimising energy use and reducing costs while promoting environmental sustainability.
* Predictive Maintenance: Leveraging IoT sensors and machine learning to prevent faults in critical equipment, such as wind turbines and industrial gearboxes.
This company is trusted by some of the most demanding industries, where accuracy, reliability, and innovation are non-negotiable.
The Role
As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing their IoT data visualisation and analysis platform. Working with a modern stack, you’ll design solutions that ensure real-time performance, reliability, and user-friendly interfaces.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring Compliance: Develop and maintain systems that guarantee real-time monitoring of temperature-sensitive assets, ensuring zero tolerance for downtime or data loss.
* Building Innovative Interfaces: Create high-quality, user-centric React applications with intuitive data visualisations to help users make informed decisions.
* Developing Scalable APIs: Build and optimise RESTful APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS, ensuring performance and scalability.
* Data Management: Design and manage relational and time-series databases (e.g., MySQL, TimescaleDB) to handle high-volume, real-time data.
* IoT Integration: Work with IoT protocols like LoRaWAN to process and visualise sensor data.
* Legacy System Transition: Maintain existing PHP systems while participating in their migration to modern JavaScript-based technologies.
* Driving Innovation: Contribute to the development of machine learning features for predictive analytics and automated event-triggering.
