Project Planning Manager - Construction
Cheltenham / hybrid
c 42k - 47k neg dep exp + benefits
Our client has been established for more than 30 years and is a global market leader in the provision of the highest quality infrastructure solutions for supply throughout the world. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth for 2025, they are now seeking to recruit an organised and experienced Project Planning Manager to oversee all aspects of proactive planning and delivery of multiple build projects, maintaining the highest levels of quality, customer service, and satisfaction provided by the refurbishment division.
Reporting to the Divisional Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, planning, and logistics of temporary build solutions. They will ensure solutions are effectively planned, meet the highest quality standards, comply fully with industry regulations, and meet often pressurised timescales and deadlines while remaining within budget.
To be considered for this varied and genuinely challenging role, it is envisaged the successful candidate will demonstrate considerable experience in planning and project management—ideally gained within the construction industry, although other fast-paced technical environments will be considered, with experience in modular construction proving distinctly advantageous.
Essentially, you will possess strong leadership and team management skills, effective communication skills at all levels, and the ability to engage with and influence customers, suppliers, and tradespeople (electricians, carpenters, etc.). You will also have excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects with varying deadlines simultaneously, being mindful of resources required, storage logistics, and deadlines in line with customer requirements.
Additionally, you will demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, proficiency in project management software and tools, and comprehensive knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations. A full clean UK driving licence is essential for the position, as there will be occasions where travel to sites may be required. While remote/hybrid working is available, you will need to visit the Head Office environment near Cheltenham on a weekly basis or more, so you should realistically live within an hour radius of the Cheltenham/Gloucester area.
