To ensure all material is despatched from the Quayside within relevant time scales in a safe and accurate manner. Duties include:
* Maintain records and oversee cargo for tracking purposes
* Ensure all Dangerous Goods, SEPA and Waste Documentation is present and correct
* Liaise with Vendors to coordinate efficiently the return of materials with regards to designated delivery bookings and available crane and forklift provision where required
* Liaise with Client and internal departments regarding queries and non-conformances
* Ensure an accurate, auditable, record of all activities within your area of work is maintained and correctly filed
* Collate shipping paperwork, scan and file for the relevant client folders
* Despatch cargo within TMS system
* Must be customer focused in order to ensure customer satisfaction at all times
* Develop and maintain effective customer and vendor relationships
* Ensure that formal procedures, standing instructions and safety standards are complied with at all times
* Build effective relationships with staff across all levels of the business
* Liaise with the logistics coordinator and other quayside personnel as required
* Liaise with delivery/ truck drivers to ensure that correct documentation and safety standards are complied with at all times
* Ad-hoc duties as required in line with applicable training/competency assessments undertaken
