We are currently looking for a Mobile Multi Skilled Operative (Quarry) to join our friendly team based out of Tarmac Dunain Mains Quarry, Inverness but providing Operative support across all our sites in the Caledonian region. The key elements of this role are operating loading shovel, excavator as well as both mobile and static processing plant. This role is easily accessible from Inverness, Elgin, Forres, Kinloss, Lossiemouth, Keith and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility
Reporting to the on-site Section Manager, the role of Mobile Multi Skilled Operative (Quarry) will work as part of the Multi-Skilled Operational team which produces dry aggregates material for the construction industry. As well as delivering best in class Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance for our Plant operations the role of Mobile Multi Skilled Operative (Quarry) you will specifically focus on operational tasks including:
* Working with aggregates on site and operating machinery (including excavator and loading shovel)
* Day to day maintenance of the mobile and static plant, maintaining the highest levels of housekeeping
* Working with other members of the team to ensure that customers get good quality material and on-time deliveries
* Maintaining and driving a culture of zero harm and behavioural safety
* Compliance and awareness Health and Safety measure around the site
Additional duties may be required but full training provided.
The Ideal Candidate
Suitable candidates for the role Mobile Multi Skilled Operative (Quarry) will be able to demonstrate proven experience preferably working within a similar aggregate's environment. You will also possess good communication skills and have a real desire in developing your operative skills.
As part of an operational team, candidates for the role of Mobile Multi Skilled Operative (Quarry) will also:
* Have knowledge of the industry, Plant and ideally of quarrying
* Possess experience working as loader/excavator operator and mobile / static plant operator (preferred not essential)
* Be flexible and able to work as part of an effective Multi Skilled Quarry Operative team
* Be self motivated and able to motivate other colleagues in the team
* Have knowledge of Risk Assessments within role of operative
* Have knowledge of SSOW (HIRA) and Permit systems (preferred but not essential)
* Be compliant and engage with company policies, targets, goals and standards
* Good timekeeping - flexible as to site requirements
* Good communication skills - bringing problems to the attention of Line Management
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Be IT literate
* Shovel/excavator Licence (preferred not essential)
This role is working across multiple sites. Flexibility to meet production requirements, occasionally working Saturday mornings is required.
