G-13) Contrat CDI Description de la BU EPR-E, a company created on 1st September 2023 is a subsidiary of Edvance (equal share between EDF and Framatome). EDVANCE is in charge of the design (basic and detailed design) and the realization (studies, procurement, erection, testing and commissioning) of nuclear islands for new projects in France. In particular, EPR-E is responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for the Hinkley Point C project and for Sizewell C. Description de la mission Hinkley Point ‘C’ (HPC) is a vital part of the UK’s future energy strategy. As the first of the UK’s next generation of nuclear power stations (EPR), HPC is both of high profile and high complexity. The MEH program is assigned to deliver the Mechanical / Electrical / HVAC component in terms of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction. The MEH Construction Project Manager has the responsibility to ensure delivery of the construction activities for the life cycle of the contract or work package in accordance with the overall Project schedule in his buildings. The PM will ensure planning and delivery in accordance with all safety, quality, time, and cost parameters to meet the needs of the Project. The nature of the role is to work independently in some areas to ensure the effective delivery of activities in the program, while recognizing and managing the impacts of the program on the wider Project. The Project Manager will apply a project management approach to activities relating to design principles and system design to ensure all activities are delivered safely to quality, budget, and schedule. The Project Manager (PM) is in charge to: Guarantee that Safety is the overriding priority for any activity performed during Pre-Construction activities which includes nuclear safety as well as Industrial Safety. Planning the work must also recognize the importance of a strong Nuclear Safety and Quality culture (conformance with the requirement, implementation of the site adaptation, non-conformance treatment) and the importance of a “right first-time” attitude including the implementation of lessons learnt and share good practice. Drive the MEH construction activity in a building from the handover from Civil Work Programme to the handover to Commissioning. This includes all the preparation activities before the physical start of the activities in the building (documentation, procurement of material, interfaces with other Programmes, synthesis of MEH activities, commissioning needs, access) by gathering project data and producing reports for top management review. Lead and update the MEH L4 schedule with the support of the planner (4 and 16 weeks looks ahead). This L4 schedule is the backspin of the MEH activities management. This update needs to consider: The handover dates from Civil Work programme to MEH The delivery of the equipment The available (or future) resources in MEH JV The sequence of works The progress on site and the productivity Secure the cost by managing the contract (early warnings, recordings the events and associated risks, contributing to annual cash-flow forecasting / issuing work order, analyzing incoming contract variations, technical query) The position may be required to travel to other company locations in the UK and possibly Europe as required. Profil General and technical background expected Construction Project with a background in erection/maintenance of plant. General skills in Civil Works and MEH (Mechanical / Electrical / HVAC) and contracts management are required. A successful experience in project management (Contract, Time-schedule) is also expected. A strong technical interest, particularly in the field of construction or maintenance of industrial installations is required for this position. A mastery of computer tools is essential: manipulation of massive data under Excel, 3D viewer… Knowledge of EPR model would be an asset. NEC3 or similar Target Price contract experience would be an asset. Skills required Experienced profile : at least 10 years of experience in equivalent missions. Ability to implement field operational experience and integrate OPEX. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Leadership and its application in complex projects. Strong interest for new challenges and major projects. Strong adaptability and high autonomy. Proficient numeracy, analytical and critical reasoning skills. Proficient application of estimating, scheduling, planning, risk. Excellent presentation, influencing and facilitation skills. Understanding the needs of nuclear quality and how nuclear quality is assured and controlled. A Degree or similar qualification in engineering, construction or related field is desirable but not essential. Professional Qualification in Project Management such as APM PPQ or other recognised qualification is desirable but not essential. Successful experience in engaging multi-level stakeholders including contractors, consultants, and advisors in a regulated environment. Experience operating within commercial arrangements (NEC and FIDIC) would be an asset Languages (level) Fluent English required : writing technical documents and daily exchanges in English (at least level B2).
