Production Supervisor – Chilled Food Manufacturing
Location: Clitheroe
Shift: PM Shift - Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Pay: £15.75 per hour

Job Purpose:
To support the Shift Production Manager and the team to achieve effective, safe, and efficient running of the production process.
Key Duties:
* Follow the Health and Safety (H&S) procedures, ensure employees understand and adhere to them and all potential hazards are
observed and reported.
* Follow the company processes, site operating procedures in relation to food safety, allergen control and maintain good
manufacturing practices (GMP) throughout the shift.
* Follow the Clean As You Go policy and have high standards of personal hygiene.
* Deliver high standards of quality ensuring products are produced to customer satisfaction in line with site standards and
customer specifications.
* Use and maintain all equipment/machinery in a correct manner and report any equipment/machinery issues.
* Complete and submit documentation accurately and in a timely manner to ensure traceability is maintained.
* Follow the daily production plan, work with the production planner on plan changes, and ensure that the plan fits correctly and
is completed on time.
* Monitor progress against the production plan and support the team in overcoming delays and constraints.
* Proactively foresee production issues and plan to avoid.
* Ensure product changeovers are carried out in a timely, safe and efficient manner.
* Monitor the quality of the products; maintain agreed GMP standards and assist in the remedial actions to resolve any non
–non-conformances.
* Liaise with the Warehouse department to ensure availability of materials for production preventing any shortages and downtime.
* Provide accurate shift handovers to other Production Supervisors ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge of challenges
and opportunities to effectively start the following shift.
* Minimize environmental impact by ensuring company procedures are adhered to regarding waste disposal.
* Support the New Product Development (NPD) process in trials and other development work.
* Plan labour allocation in accordance to the production plans.
* Maintain and develop a set skill level with your team ensuring enough skill is available at all times such as holiday and
absence.
* Identify the strengths within your team and deploy their skillset for optimum performance.
* Provide documented and recorded support and training to new starters and existing team members within the production team for
their continuous improvement and development.
* Smooth running and efficient production environment.
* Supporting in regular team briefings on matters such as OEE, waste, labour savings, food safety and product quality.
* Meeting all KPI’s targets such as OEE, waste, labour allocation and cost, non-conformance, and H&S
* Updating KPI information on reports.
* Developing and supporting the production team.
* Accurate daily reporting.
* Traceability and integrity of raw materials and finished goods.
What we need from you:
* Good understanding of English
* Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment
* Leading and Managing large operational teams
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills
* Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
* An understanding of Health & Food safety
* A positive attitude
* Good attendance & punctuality
