The Role
Are you a seasoned Leader with experience in a Manufacturing, Logistics or a Production Environment? An eye for Continuous Improvement and the desire to drive change? Keen for an exciting opportunity to join the largest UK Health and Wellness Retailer?
As our Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing the designated production area ensuring most efficient and compliant use of all equipment and colleagues are able to meet the demands of the business. You'll champion Health and Safety in line with current legislation and company policies/procedures.
Key Tasks Include:
* Ensure all colleagues are trained to the correct standards and follow all work instructions and safe systems of work (SSOW) or procedures.
* Lead and manage the night shift team to ensure smooth operations, maintaining productivity and high-quality standards.
* Oversee daily workflows, ensuring production and operational targets are consistently met.
* Monitor and address any issues that arise during the shift, resolving problems effectively to minimise downtime or disruptions.
* Communicate effectively with other shift managers and departments to ensure seamless handovers and continuity.
* Analyse operational performance during the shift and prepare detailed reports for management.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.
* Control labour costs and report weekly.
* Produce weekly KPI based on costs, efficiency, downtime and plans to improve.
The Person
To be successful, we'd like you to show us that you have:
* Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a manufacturing, logistics, or production environment.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
* The ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
* A can-do attitude.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills.
* Flexibility to adjust to business needs
* Food Safety Level 3.
